Investing in The Future of Cheltenham Town Football Club
An approach from The Regency Robins

by Michael D'Ambrosio

About Us
The Regency Robins is a group which has an interest in Cheltenham Town which goes beyond simply an investment into football.
This group has grown up in the town, supported the team, been part of the community, watched the team lose in Accrington and win at Wembley, moaned about the toilets, cried about Cotterill, rejoiced at last-minute Rushden winners and loved (almost) every minute of being a Robin.
Thankfully the group has also built a track record of successful business ownership, and of working in sport, and now wants to help the club and the community build for the future.
Who We Are
The Leadership Team
General Manager Ben Williams
A long-term supporter and sponsor of the club, and a proven business leader with a track record of building businesses from scratch and generating growth in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas. Deeply ingrained already across the club and Academy.
Commercial and Innovation Mike D'Ambrosio
Another Cheltonian and long-term fan with a leadership background in Sports and Technology, and most recently involved in sports investment and innovation. Experienced in rolling out media and tech businesses in new markets.
Strategy Ben Marlow
Chief Strategy Officer at Twenty First Group, bringing extensive experience in football strategy and management. Previously Managing Director, APAC; Head of Football; and Head of Football Strategy, demonstrating his leadership in the football industry. Almost a hat-trick of locals…he's from Nailsworth.
Our intended approach is to work alongside the existing board and operational team, utilising our experience and network to augment and support rather than replace.
We view Ben, Ben and Mike as the "Launch Team" and new faces and roles will be added as the reality of the day to day operations become clearer.
The Vision
Sustainability in a Changing Landscape
In the 25 years since the club first rose into the football league the competitive landscape has changed dramatically, and yet some of the fundamentals remain the same: A winning team and an enjoyable afternoon out go a long way to help off the pitch too.
Our vision aims to build on much of the good work that the board has driven, and ensure that the club remains community-focused, whilst further opening the doors to innovation and the adoption of technologies which can benefit the club both on and off the pitch.
This isn't simply because we have a wealth of experience in this area, but it's necessary for Cheltenham if we want to compete in this new world of ultra-rich owners, and furthermore to ensure that the club offers an enjoyable experience for fans, and becomes a club that players are desperate to stay with.
We have 5 key pillars that will underpin our approach to investing in the Club:
ENJOYMENT
COLLABORATION
INNOVATION
SUSTAINABILITY
COMMUNITY
